This box started 5 years ago when I cut down the cherry tree. It was important to me to keep the woods to a minimum so they could shine. The lid is quartersawn, spalted Sycamore. The dividers and tray use both heartwood and a continuous line of sapwood to lighten the interior of the box. The Pull is a piece of the cherry that had been naturally ebonized at some point in the tree's life. The lid catch is a Kumihimo braid by Linda Turner, matched to the box's colors.
